We’re so glad to have this coffee back in our offering. Bukonzo Dream is a coffee we’d usually recommend brewing as a filter, but we couldn’t ignore the richness and depth it brings as an espresso. That’s why we’ve roasted it as Chameleon, our omni roast, to show how well it works across both styles of brewing. If you enjoy coffees that are fruity but still have plenty of chocolatey depth, this one is worth trying.
As a V60, it’s rich and expressive, with hotter brews bringing out more cocoa depth, while cooler temperatures soften the cup. Pulled as espresso, it’s punchy and lively, mellowing into a gentle, rounded sweetness with milk. Small milk-based drinks work particularly well, letting its character shine through.

For consistent results, we recommend brewing with measured inputs rather than estimating by eye. Always use a digital scale to weigh both your coffee dose and water. As a baseline, use a brew ratio of 60–70g of coffee per litre (1000g) of water. This range can be adjusted depending on the brewing method, water composition, and the specific coffee you’re working with. Control your variables, make small adjustments, and use taste to guide your final recipe.
Consistency in espresso comes from working within the parameters of your equipment. Use the dose recommended for your basket (usually marked on the side or provided by the manufacturer) and keep it consistent. As a starting point, aim for a brew ratio of around 1:2 — for example, 18g of coffee yielding 33–35g of espresso in the cup. Target an extraction time of 22–30 seconds, with a brew water temperature between 93–95°C. From there, adjust grind size to control flow and use taste to fine-tune the result.

Trust was the biggest obstacle when Agri Evolve first began working with coffee farmers in the Rwenzori Mountains of Uganda.
Founded in 2016, Agri Evolve was created in response to a local coffee market where farmers often lacked access to good processing facilities and were reliant on traders offering low, cash-in-hand prices. Agri Evolve initially bought home-processed natural coffees while building relationships with farmers and establishing itself as a reliable buyer.
Over time, they began buying freshly harvested cherries directly from farmers and processing them at their own facilities. This gave Agri Evolve greater control over quality while giving farmers a trusted place to sell their coffee at a fair market price.
The communities living on the slopes of the Rwenzori Mountains are part of the Bakonzo Tribe, and it is from them that Bukonzo Dream takes its name. Without the Bakonzo people, there would be no Bukonzo Dream.
Today, Agri Evolve sources coffee across more than 200km of the Rwenzori Mountains, with 23,885 farmers registered in their system as of 2025. Income from coffee exports is also reinvested into farmer training, education, infrastructure and equipment, helping producers improve both the quality and productivity of their coffee.
Always the best choice. Grind at home for maximum freshness and full control over your coffee.
Our coarsest grind. Ideal for Cafetiere, Chemex, Cold Brew, and Batch Brew.
Works well for cone brewers like V60, and flat-bottom brewers like Kalita or other pour-over brewers.
A finer grind suited to Moka pots, AeroPress, and most domestic espresso machines with pressurised baskets.
Very fine and intended for commercial espresso machines. For best results, grinding fresh is recommended.
