THE DUCK GOES QUACK
This Brazilian coffee is a beautifully delicate showcase of the exceptional quality Brazilian beans can achieve. Subtle fruity notes complement its gentle sweetness and nutty undertones without overpowering them. Balanced and comforting, it makes a fantastic morning cup. We love brewing it in immersion-style brewers to enhance its full-bodied warmth.

MORE ABOUT THE PRODUCER
Nestled in the beautiful Serra da Mantiqueira de Minas, in the heart of Lambari, Sítio Esperança is a hidden gem of the South of Minas. Known for its pure, crystal-clear waters, this estate is celebrated for producing outstanding specialty coffees, each cup rich with unique aromas and flavours.
Owned and lovingly managed by Daniel Magalhães dos Santos and Carolina Aparecida da Silva Santos, Sítio Esperança benefits from an impressive altitude, stretching from 1,130 meters at its main site to a lofty 1,310 meters at its peak—perfect for cultivating exceptional coffee beans. Daniel, a true local, carries forward a family legacy that began with his great-grandfather, José Miguel, known as “Father Gué.” Despite the hardships, including the loss of his parents in 2020, Daniel and his brothers have remained resilient, honouring their heritage and commitment to excellence.
Situated in the welcoming São Geraldo community in Congonhal, Sítio Esperança enjoys ideal conditions for growing specialty coffee. From a young age, Daniel immersed himself in the coffee trade, starting his own ventures and partnerships at just 15. At 21, he married Carolina, a partner equally rooted in farming traditions. Together, they expanded their land, built their home, and transformed Sítio Esperança into the thriving estate it is today.
Now a dedicated family team, Daniel and Carolina work year after year to refine their coffee, holding fast to their heritage and passion for quality.
